Rancho Palos Verdes, California

Today we took a casual and scenic drive from Glendale to Rancho Palos Verdes where we visited our friend Shirley Glitzow who we met on our Cuba Cruise. Shirley is a long-time close friend of my sister Pat. We stopped in to visit Redondo Beach on our way there.

The Los Angeles skyline.

We arrived at Redondo Beach.

The Redondo Beach Boardwalk.

The homes between the main road and the beach share a sidewalk.

From the beach we could see our destination,
Rancho Palos Verdes located on the point.

We stopped for lunch at the Redondo Beach Brewing Company.
And, yes, the beer was good, too.

Now we're in Rancho Palos Verdes enjoying a view of Redondo Beach.

Shirley, Pat and Susan taking in the view from the balcony.

And what a wonderful view it is!

We went downstairs to see the Wine Cellar.

Shirley's wine cellar. Thirsty anyone?

Shirley is also an artist. She painted some nice scenes in the wine cellar.

We got to enjoy a fantastic sunset despite the fog.
Thank you, Shirley, for hosting us.
