Castro Valley, California

We loaded up my sister Pat's car and she drove us from L.A. up to Castro Valley (across the bay from San Francisco) where we visited with Pat's daughter, Alicia and her son Marcel. A long drive but it was worth it to see Alicia and Marcel again.

We begin our trip in the early morning to avoid the traffic in L.A.

As we get North of L.A. we see the brown hills

that I recall from growing up in California.

Gee, only another 160 miles or so to go...

We finally arrive at Alicia's home in Castro Valley.

My niece Alicia greets us.

Marcel loves playing Minecraft. I tried it but...

Marcel also plays the piano. Music sure runs in my family!
